the challenge

Solar installations produce a constant stream of inverter and battery telemetry, but owners rarely get a unified view of generation, consumption and system health — especially across mixed hardware from different vendors.

what i built

• Raspberry Pi field devices interfacing with diverse inverter and battery configurations over multiple communication protocols
• Flask backend on Google Cloud Platform with MySQL for real-time data acquisition and storage
• Responsive dashboards covering generation, consumption, battery state and weather context
• Scalable design supporting multiple sites and hardware configurations
